My Mother, Grandmother and I all recently went for a day out in Pendle, as weekend trips out are becoming something of a routine for the three of us. I chose Pendle, as I have very fond memories of it when I visited it a very long time with my Grandparents. I still have the little dish I bought there (with my own pocket money no less!) which I keep on my desk and use to keep rings and earrings that I wear often. I think I was around ten when I was last there, but it really hasn’t changed much. It’s still starkly beautiful, and appropriately slightly creepy, what with its history. I studied the Witch Craze of Europe and Britain for my A Level History coursework, so I know quite a lot about Pendle’s witch trials, as they were an outlier in English history. I could ramble on for a very long time so I’ll stop now!
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed this post, and if so keep an eye out as this is part of my Blogtober series where I post every day. Check out my other posts from this month and see whether I actually manage to even think of 31 topics!
