A few days ago I blogged about my recent trip to Liverpool, and mentioned that I bought a few bits and bobs, so this is the follow up haul to that post.
Big and Oatifix
Big is one of my absolute favourite LUSH products, as the ridiculous amounts of sea salt gives my hair a hell of a lot of volume. My hair also tends to get quite greasy at the roots, meaning I end up washing it every day even though it’s terrible for my hair. I find the salt in Big leaves my hair slightly drier, meaning that often I only use it at the roots, allowing me to wash my hair far less frequently.
I had five black lush pots to return meaning I got a free fresh face mask! I’ve used a few LUSH masks before, and always attempt to try a new one when I get one free, so this time I picked up the porridge-y looking Oatifix, which is supposed to be good for dry skin.
Mac Mineralize Moisture SPF 15 Foundation in NW13 &Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20
My current go-to foundation, the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in BR10 has almost run out, and I decided to try something new. I really struggle with foundation, as I’m very pale but have pink undertones to my skin while a lot of foundations seem to be more yellow based. The MAC Mineralize Moisture is almost perfect colour wise for me, although I suspect in winter it may a touch too dark. Right now I have my equivalent of a tan, which is more freckles and a fear of burning, and I’m still MAC’s palest shade. For winter I may investigate the Pro Performance HD Makeup as I know there’s a pure white shade that you can mix to create the perfect colour.
I was also in dire need of a new concealer, and this is another arena of makeup where I’ve had even less luck than with foundation. I ended up going for the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20, which is slightly darker than I thought I would need. It has a fair amount of redness to cover though, and I suspect again that in winter I will need the paler shade, but for summer it’s perfect, and is covering the odd spot completely.
I mentioned my love for Nuxe’s Creme Prodigieuse in my April Favourites post, and nothing has changed there! I previously only had a small travel size tube which ran out pretty quickly, so I invested in a full size tube because I cannot live without this stuff!
Jamie Jeans in Khaki
If you don’t know the Topshop Jamie jeans then I don’t know where you’ve been hiding for the last few years. I already live in my black Jamies and decided that I a khaki pair was exactly what I needed so that I could put them in the wash and still have something to wear.
