Pretty much every beauty blogger at some point does a “How much is my face worth?” post and is predictably horrified by the results. I expect this post to be no different, although I did use a few, by which I mean two, drug store products, so that’s bound to help right?
Benefit Porefessional Face Primer £24.50
My favourite primer for my face, this just smooths over all those old acne scars and leaves my face prepped for makeup.
Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch £26.50
It took a lot of hunting to find an eye primer that works for my oily lids, but after many trials and tribulations and I have settled on this Clarins one which is absolutely fab. It’s a full face primer really, but I only use it on my lids as it’s a but too much for the rest of my face.
YSL Fusion Foundation in B10 £32.50
This isn’t my favourite YSL foundation, but it’s an excellent colour match for me and needs using up.
YSL Touche Eclat in 1 £25
Iconic. Always my go to for those dark circles.
Benefit Gimme Brow in Light £18.50
I’m not convinced this is quite the right colours for me; I think I could do with something warmer, but it does the taming and darkening trick well enough for now.
No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara £11.50
My absolute favourite mascara as I can’t stand all those plumping and volume boosting ones. Just make ’em darker and don’t you dare clump.
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette £38.50
My very battered old Naked 2 palette. This thing has travelled the world with me and never lets me down. I have other options these days, but today I fancied going old school.
Stila Stay-All-Day Liquid Liner in Intense Black £14.50
I actually forgot to photograph this, sorry! Another battered old favourite, this is a liquid liner I’ve been using for years that always stays put, even under a waterfall (I’m not kidding).
BareMinerals READY blush in The Aphrodisiac £22
I love this peachy pink shade and the formula of the BareMinerals blushes are my favourites; they’re finely milled but very pigmented, and I always find myself going back to them.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone £32
Do I really need to say much about this product? It’s everywhere, but for good reason as I currently feel like the light is just bouncing off my non-existent cheekbones.
Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 107 £5.49
Another old favourite, this is a gorgeous deep berry shade that I whip out every Autumn. You can’t go too far wrong with a bit of Kate.
To make this pretty basic makeup look, just for tramping around Manchester it cost me a ridiculous £250.99. I’m never spending money again. We all know that’s a lie.
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed this post, and if so keep an eye out as this is part of my Blogtober series where I post every day. Check out my other posts from this month and see whether I actually manage to even think of 31 topics!
