Eight Awesome Blogs

Like all of us, I read a LOT of blogs.  I decided to put together a list of some of the blogs I’ve been loving lately and tell you a little bit about them.

Flourish & Blotting

Jo’s blog is basically everything I want Spare Oom to be.  Her photography and content are awesome, and she just seems like a really nice person.  I like her travel blogs best although they have the unfortunate side effect of reinforcing my wanderlust.

Tartan Brunette

As far as I’m concerned, Jen of Tartan Brunette is the capsule wardrobe QUEEN.  Reading her posts on the subject have made me really want to get rid of all of my clothes.  I’m definitely planning to give a capsule wardrobe a go once my life has settled down a bit.

Megan Inness

Megan’s lifestyle blog is one of my absolute favourites.  She writes about mental illness and loss with a very honest and open approach, and her blog is really inspiring.  She’s also just lovely.

Vivianna Does Makeup

Anna is one of the biggest bloggers out there, along with Lily Pebbles and Fleur De Force.  I went on a bit of a Vivianna Does Makeup binge recently though after finding her capsule wardrobe posts and then proceeding to read almost everything from the last few months.  I really like her writing style, and she comes across as genuinely friendly in her vlogs and videos.

Skinned Cartree

Corinne of Skinned Cartree is Blogging Jesus; he is my actual Lord and Saviour.  I’m gradually working my way through all of her posts on blogging and improving my blog and traffic as I go.  Mad respect for this lady.

Phases of Robyn

A style and beauty blog that I always find myself coming back to for inspiration.  I love Robyn’s laid back style and OOTDs most of all.

The Bluestocking Bookshelf

This is my current favourite book and film review blog, with their brutally honest reviews and ratings.  We also have pretty similar taste in books, which means I often have a nosey at their blog for new books to read.

Cake & Whisky

This blog makes me really hungry.  Cake and Whisky is all about food, with a little travel thrown in.  Sandra’s recipes are some of my favourites on blogs in general, with a real mix of healthy and indulgent.

TwitterBlog

There you have it!  These are the poor souls I have been internet stalking as of late.  Now you go stalk them too.
